I just need somebody

Naozumi had kept his promise on letting the incident go, but Aurelia still felt the need to scold her son as he was the one who told Kooro about the device, leading her into the situation she created. In regards to what took place, the adults were more upset over that, not at all pleased that the girl had wanted to get the children involved. The questions may be innocent, but it could makes them curious, wishing to know more and asking either their grandfather, their father or even Reika when she returned about it.

Sora flopped on his bed, laying on his stomach after everything, glad that Reika was outside with Tokoori so she didn't hear about the possible troubles Kooro could've caused.

"She needs a fucking babysitter, not a mate." He groaned into the pillow. That was the last time he ever told Kooro anything cool.

"I'm going to assume you're talking about Kooro?"

He turned to the direction the voice was coming from, seeing Miharu sitting on his window sill with a smile.

"And they think Uncle Ash is being a bad influence on me only." Sora laughed, sitting up and crossing his legs. "What's up?"

"He is. It's been a while since I talked to him. He's not being a bad influence on me right now " Miharu corrected him with a laugh of his own. "I called her a few minutes ago to set up a date for this weekend."

The last sentence was said so quietly, Sora thought he was hearing things. "Wait! Did I hear that right? You're going on a date?"

"Yes, I am." He repeated shyly.

Sora was ecstatic. Miharu had finally decided to take his friend out. It took months of convincing and it was now paying off. He cared for the halfing and while legally, Miharu was his uncle, it never felt that way to him. He was more of a friend than an uncle though he was careful to treat with respect in front of his parents but alone, he ditched the title and simply called the other by his name.

Spending most of the time with the other from training to hanging out in the city with his friend to here at home, it was obvious to Sora that Miharu was still yearning for Gil, creating heartache for him. He didn't bother with it especially considering how his mother tend to constantly put hope in him that Gil would come around. That was until the new development of his friend forming a crush on Miharu.

He was aware of what she was trying to do though. The birds he called his uncles were dumb in certain areas of love, his family in others. His mother was trying to keep him on track of what he really wanted rather than give up, move on and later regret it. He noticed it with Miharu. The halfling was not completely sold on dating his friend and Sora believed the reason Miharu was giving this a chance was due to wanting someone he can call his own, a person who wasn't going to leave him like Reika or one day himself, for legit reasons. He really wanted that and perhaps was seeing that in the girl.

In the end, all Sora really wants is for Miharu to be happy and by now be with someone. Living several hundreds of years and still hasn't had one partner or even a first date. It was sad.

"Where are you going?"

"She wants to see a movie."

"Good place to have a first date. Well, we should start shopping. You need to be properly dressed for this and none of your clothes will work."

"My clothes are fine!."
